SNEPCo National University Scholarship 2019 – Shell Nigerial Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), its Co-venture partners and the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) invite application from suitably qualified undergraduates for the ongoing 2019 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Award. NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship scheme is the programme is aimed to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerian undergraduates in their various fields of study.
Snepco scholarship provides yearly grants to the successful applicants from their second year to the completion of their degree program. Students who meet the requirements should apply below and check the deadline.

Eligibility For Snepco Scholarship 2019
Be citizens of Nigeria, currently enrolled in an accredited and approved university in Nigeria.
Currently be in the their second year of full time study in a Nigerian University accredited by NUC.
Have a minimum of seven O/Levels credits, including Mathematics and English.
Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in a 5 points grade system.
Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarships (National or International)
Marine Engineering etc.

How to Apply For SNEPCo Scholarship
All applicants should have their personal valid email accounts (for consistent communication).
Candidates who meet the above entry qualifications should apply online at NNPC/SNEPCo 2019 Scholarship and to provide the required personal and educational details, and load scanned copies of the following:
- A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant (i.e. jpeg format, not more than 200kilobytes);
- University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission Letter;
- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Scores;
- ‘O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable; and
- Letter of Identification from State (showing Local Government) of Origin.
Scanned copies of letters of identification, (which must be duly stamped and signed) by:
The Paramount Ruler of the Community; and
The Chairman of the Community Development or Executive Council (CDC or CEC) is also required of applicants for the Operational Area Awards (OM).
- The letters should be addressed to The Manager, Social Investment, Shell Petroleum Development Company, Prodeco 5, Room 10, Shell Industrial Area, Rumubiakani, Port Harcourt.
The following should be noted before applying for SNPECo scholarship 2019
Each documents submitted must not exceed 200kb and the image format must be in jpeg.
Beware of fraudulent website when applying for the NNPC/SNEPCo scholarship online. Such website may ask you to make some payments in the application. These are completely faux sites which should be avoided. NNPC/SNEPCo scholarship application is FREE.
SNEPCo will not accept email application. It is important to visit the official website for detailed information and to access the online application portal.
SPEPCo is committed to providing scholarship opportunities that are not associated with application fees.
SNEPCo DOES NOT ASSIGN representative/agent to assist applicants.
Any candidates found to have presented false documents will be disqualified or withdrawn at any level of the scholarship.
Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a computer based test.
Steps to Apply for Snepco Scholarship
It works as follows:
STEP 1: Register – Create your online applicant profile (i.e. User Name and Password) by clicking on “Create User Account” , and follow the on-screen prompts. Upon completion of your profile registration, the system displays a message acknowledging your profile, and an email is sent acknowledging same.
STEP 2: Online Application – By clicking on the “Apply Now” button, and following the on-screen prompts. Identify and apply for the scholarship category that you qualify for. Review and update your candidate profile. The system displays a message acknowledging your application and sends an e-mail confirming receipt of your application.
STEP 3: Selection – Your resume would be reviewed against loaded credentials. If selected, you would be contacted accordingly.
• Aptitude Test – Once selected, you would be advised of details/arrangements for the Aptitude Test via email and surface mails.
• Reference Checks and Background Verification Process – Shell and the appropriate examination bodies would conduct reference checks and background verification as part of the screening process, prior to award.
• Scholarship Offer – If selected for an award, you would be contacted by the Scholarship Team, and the terms and conditions of the award offer, will be sent, along with the deadline for acceptance.

How often are adverts on university scholarship posted on your website?
Adverts are posted once per academic session.
Can I send an open application?
Unsolicited applications will not be attended to.
How long do scholarship adverts remain posted on the site?
The call for scholarship applications remain on the site until the closing date which is six weeks from the date of first publication.
Will you confirm receipt of my application?
Once you submit your online application form you will be sent an automated email acknowledging receipt of your application. You will subsequently be contacted, ONLY if you are selected for an aptitude test.
What happens to my online application?
Applications are stored in a database; after the closing date they are evaluated and a shortlist is compiled of qualified applicants. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to attend an aptitude test.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship type at any given time?
NO. You are only expected to apply for one out of the two major award types (either the National Merit, or Areas of Operation Award).
I’m not a Nigerian, but I reside and study in an approved Nigerian university. Am I qualified to apply?
NO. Application is open to Nigerian nationals only.
How do I create my profile?
Visit www.shellnigeria.com and click on SPDC JV SCHOLARSHIP to complete your login. Once logged in, click on ‘Create User Account’ and follow the on-screen prompts.
Can I change my profile details?
Yes, you can change your details yourself. You are responsible for the correctness of the details provided.
Can I change the course (programme) or institution in my application and can I add information to my application?
You cannot make any changes or additions to your application once submitted, and the deadline has passed. Applications that are not complete when submitted will be cancelled and will not be considered. However, if the application deadline has not passed, you can edit / make changes to your application online.
Where can I upload my passport photograph and other required documents?
The upload is done on the application page, after you have filled in all your details.
What is the maximum size and image format of passport photograph and other required documents?
Document size should be less than 1MB (use free online tools to reduce your image), the image format must be in JPG, JPEG, and PNG.
I cannot find my university in the dropdown list online. What do I do?
If your university is not in the dropdown list you can add the full name and address, choose titled “Others” from the dropdown and in the “OTHER UNIVERSITY” free text field
Did you receive my application online?
When you submit your application online, you automatically receive confirmation of receipt by email. Please note that your email provider may see this confirmation email as spam, so check if your junk or spam folder contains an email sent by SPDC-Scholarship@shell.com After you have submitted your application the status of your application will change into ‘submitted’. You can visit your profile to view the status of your application.
The current status of my application is ‘saved’. Does this mean that I have successfully applied for the scholarship?
No. It only means that you have filled in all the required information and have uploaded all the requested documents. However, you have not yet applied. To apply, you have to submit your application before the application deadline. If your application still has the status ‘saved’ after the application deadline, your application will not be considered.
I am unable to submit my application before the deadline. Can I submit it after the deadline?
No. You cannot submit your application after the deadline. E-Application closes after the application deadline.
I applied on paper. Can I monitor my status online?
